Payment Options

Accepted payment methods on shookout — cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Account Credit

ℹ️ All prices on shookout are in USD. If your card or PayPal uses a different currency, your payment provider applies their own conversion rate. shookout does not charge a conversion fee on purchases.

Bank cards

Card payments are processed securely by Stripe — PCI DSS Level 1 certified. Your card details are never stored on shookout servers.

  • American Express — credit cards
  1. Select Card at checkout
    On the checkout page, choose Card as your payment method.
  2. Enter card details
    Card number, expiry date (MM/YY), CVV, and cardholder name. On a saved card, fields fill automatically.
  3. Complete 3D Secure if prompted
    Your bank may ask for confirmation via SMS or banking app push notification.
  4. Done — instant access
    The product appears in My Purchases immediately after payment is confirmed.

Tip: Save your card on first purchase — future checkouts complete in one click without re-entering details.

Digital wallets

PayPal
Pay from PayPal balance or linked card. Available in 200+ countries. Your card details are never shared with shookout.
Apple Pay
One-touch payment with Face ID or Touch ID on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Available in Safari browser.
Google Pay
One-tap payment on Chrome and Android. Uses tokenisation — your real card number is never shared.

Account Credit

Account Credit is your internal shookout balance. It is applied automatically at checkout — no selection needed. If your credit covers the full price, no card payment is required. If not, the remainder is charged to your selected payment method.

  • Check your balance at My Account → Account Credit
  • Credit can come from gift card redemption or seller payouts
  • Split payment (credit + card) happens automatically

Security

  • SSL/TLS encryption — all data transmitted via secure channel
  • 3D Secure — additional SMS or app confirmation when required by your bank
  • PCI DSS Level 1 — highest level of payment security certification
  • Card details never stored on shookout servers — managed by Stripe

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a fee for buyers?

No. shookout charges no fee to buyers. You pay exactly the listed price. Currency conversion fees (if any) are charged by your bank or PayPal, not by shookout.

My card was declined. What should I do?

Try a different payment method (PayPal, Apple Pay, or Google Pay), or call your bank and ask them to approve payments to shookout.com. See the Payment Issues guide for full troubleshooting steps.
