Step-by-step process for submitting a refund request:

  1. Try to resolve the issue with the seller
    Go to My purchases → Find the product → Click "Contact the seller" → Describe the problem. 70% of conflicts are resolved on this stage without refund.
  2. Open refund request
    My purchases → Select product → "Request refund" → Select refund reason → Describe the problem in detail (minimum 100 characters).
  3. Attach evidence
    Upload screenshots of problems, error logs, bug demonstration video. The more evidence — the betterhe more above chances of approval. Maximum 10 files, 50 MB each.
  4. Wait for seller response
    Seller has 3 days to respond. They can: approve refund (money returned automatically), or decline (will open a dispute),, offer solution problems.
  5. If the seller declined — open a dispute
    Click "Open dispute" → Add additional arguments → shookout.com moderation will review both sidesview both sides → Solution within the period of 5-10 business days.
  6. Get refund
    After refund approval, money will return to the same card/account used for payment. Bank cardds — 3-10 days, PayPal — 1-3 days, cryptocurrency — 1-24 hours.

Tip: Always start with friendly communication with the seller. Most sellers are ready to help and solve the problem without official refund. Save friendly tone — this increases chances on full outcome.

    Check your email (including spam) → There should be emails about each stage of the refund. If no emailso — problem with delivery notifications.

Refund may be delayed for the following reasons:

  • Bank processes slower than usual: Some banks delay refunds up to 10-14 days. Call your bank for clarification.
  • Card blocked or expired: If the card is inactive, the refund will not go through. Contact support to change payment details.
  • Technical failure of the payment system: Rarely, but Stripe/PayPal do have outages. They are resolved within 1-3 days automatically.
  • Weekdays and holidays: Banks do not process refunds on weekends. Count business days only.

How to submit a Chargeback?

  1. Call your bank
    Contact your bank → Say: "I want to dispute a transaction" (dispute a charge) → Specify date, amount, name store (shookout.com).
  2. Fill in the dispute form
    Bank will send a form (usually by email or in the app) → Describe the problem → Attach all evidence and correspondence, screenshots, receipts.
  3. Wait for provisional refund
    bank can return money temporarily (provisional credit) in the period of 1-5 days, while goes investigation.

    Bank requests evidence from us → we provide our version of events → bank makes a final decision (resolution) (30-90 days).

Can I request refund if product deleted with marketplace?

Yes! Even if the product or seller no longer exists on the platform — you can still request a refund request in the period of 14 days. In such a case, the dispute is reviewed directly moderation shookout.com without participation seller.

Is the commission refunded?

Yes, with a full refund you get back the entire amount, including our commission for verification for the verification process and the payment system fee. Exception: your bank's currency conversion fee is not refunded (this is the bank's fee, not ours).
