1Before deleting

Important to know

CRITICAL: Account Deletion — irreversible action! All data will be lost permanently. Think twice!

What will be deleted

  • Profile: name, bio, avatar, cover, all personal data
  • Purchases: access to all purchased products (files, licenses)
  • Products (for sellers): all published products and their files
  • History sales: earnings, statistics, reviews
  • Comments: all your comments and reviews
  • Favorites: collections and favorites products
  • Subscriptions: on authors and notifications
  • Messages: correspondence with support

What will happen with your money

if you buyer:

  • Loss access to all purchased products
  • Refund funds not will be (purchases already completed)

If you are a seller:

  • Balance >0: withdraw money before deletion!
  • Incomplete payouts: will be cancelled
  • Active products: will be removed with sales
  • Your products' buyers: will keep access to files

For sellers: MANDATORY withdraw all balance before deletion! After deletion account access to money will be impossible.

2Account deactivation

What is deactivation

Deactivation — temporary account disabling:

  • Profile hidden from everyone users
  • Not displayed in search
  • Products removed from sale (for sellers)
  • But all data is saved on the server
  • Can be restored at any time

How to deactivate your account

  1. Log into your account on shookout.com
  2. Open My AccountData in the sidebar
  3. Find "Data Management"
  4. Click "Deactivate account"
  5. Select reason (optional):
    • No longer using Shookout
    • Privacy concerns
    • Too many notifications
    • Want to start fresh
    • Other
  6. Enter password to confirm
  7. Click "Confirm deactivation"
  8. Done! Account deactivated

What happens after deactivation

  • Instantly:
    • Profile hidden from everyone
    • you automatically log out from account
    • Products removed from sale
  • Within 24 hours:
    • Profile is deleted from search Google
    • Comments shown as "[deleted]"
  • Data is preserved:
    • All information remains on server
    • Purchases available when recovery
    • Seller balance preserved

How to restore a deactivated account

  1. Go to on shookout.com
  2. Click "Log in"
  3. Enter email and password
  4. A message will appear: "Your account has been deactivated. Restore?"
  5. Click "Restore account"
  6. Done! Everything will return to normal

ℹ️ Note: Recovery is instant. Profile will return to its previous state before deactivation.

3Preparing for deletion

Pre-deletion checklist

Mandatory make:

  1. Download purchases:
    • Go to Library
    • Download all purchased products
    • Save licenses/keys
  2. Withdraw funds (for sellers):
    • Check balance in Seller dashboard
    • Withdraw all funds
    • Wait for completion payouts
  3. Download product files (for sellers):
    • Seller dashboard → Products
    • Download all source files
    • Save description and screenshots
  4. Export data:
    • Settings → PrivacyData export
    • Request archive
    • Download (will be sent to email)
  5. Save import information:
    • Screenshots purchases
    • Reviews clients
    • Statistics sales
    • Recorrespondence with support
  6. Cancel subscriptions:
    • if is active subscriptions (paid)
    • Cancel their before deletion

For sellers: additional steps

  1. Remove products from sale:
    • Or they automatically will be deleted
    • Buyers will retain access to already purchased items
  2. Close disputes:
    • Resolve all open disputes with buyers
    • Answer questions
  3. Inform clients:
    • If product updates were promised
    • Inform about store closure

Important: After deletion you You will NOT be able to access:
• Purchased products
• Money on balance
• Files products
• Reviews and statistics

How to delete your account

  1. Log into your account on shookout.com
  2. Open My AccountData in the sidebar
  3. Scroll to the Danger Zone section
  4. Click "Delete Account"
  5. Read warning about the consequences
  6. Select reason deletion (required):
    • No longer using the service
    • Found a better alternative
    • Privacy concerns
    • Too expensive
    • Bad user experiencence
    • Other (specify)
  7. Enter password to confirm
  8. Check the box: "I understand this action is irreversible"
  9. Click "Yes, delete my account permanently"

Confirmation via email

  1. On your email will come email with confirmation: "Confirmation deletion account"
  2. Open the email
  3. Click the button "Confirm deletion"
  4. Or go to by link
  5. Link valid for 24 hours
  6. after confirmation deletion will begin

ℹ️ Waiting period: You have 24 hours to reconsider! If not confirmedm by email — request deletion will be cancelled automatically.

Scheduled deletion

Day 0 (immediately after confirmation):

  • Profile hidden from everyone users
  • you log out from account
  • Log in more you cannot
  • Products removed from sale

Days 1-14 (storage period):

  • Data marked for deletion
  • More you can restore (see below)
  • Profile not visible to anyone

Days 15-30 (full deletion):

  • Data starts being deleted from servers
  • Profile deleted permanently
  • Email freed for registration
  • Recovery not possible

What remains after deletion

Even after deletion preserved (by applicable law):

  • Financial transactions: history purchases/sales (for tax authorities) — 7 years
  • Security logs: IP-address login (for investigation incidents) — 90 days
  • Backup copies: deleted within the period of 90 days

But this information is inaccessible to anyone except the legal department upon authority request.

Can I restore my account?

Yes, but only within the period of 14 days after confirmation deletion.

How to restore your account

  1. Go to on shookout.com
  2. Click "Log in"
  3. Enter email and password deleted account
  4. A message will appear: "Your account is scheduled for deletion"
  5. Click "Cancel deletion"
  6. Confirm action
  7. Done! Account restored

if passed more 14 days:

  • Recovery not possible
  • all data deleted permanently
  • you can create new account with the same email
  • But history and purchases will not be restored

CRITICAL: after 14 days recovery IMPOSSIBLE. No one will be able to help — neither support, neither administration!

What is restored upon recovery

  • Profile with all data
  • Purchases and access to products
  • Products seller (in drafts)
  • Balance seller
  • Comments and reviews
  • Favorites
  • History
  • Products will remain removed from sale (needed publish again)

6Consequences of deletion

For buyers

  • Loss access to purchases:
    • all purchased products will become unavailable
    • Re-download will not be possible
    • Licenses are annulled
  • Purchase History:
    • Receipts and invoices will be deleted
    • for tax save in advance
  • Refunds:
    • Cannot request a refund
    • Open disputes will be closed

For sellers

  • Products:
    • all products deleted with platform
    • Pages products show 404
    • Buyers retain access to already purchased files
  • Income:
    • Balance is cancelled
    • Incomplete payouts are cancelled
    • Refund funds not will be
  • Reputation:
    • Ratings and reviews are deleted
    • Statistics sales

What happens with your content
