How to verify your store on shookout — what it unlocks, what information you need, and how the review works
What is Seller Verification?
Seller Verification is a one-time identity review that confirms who you are and unlocks key seller features on your account. It is required to withdraw payouts, run Flash Sales, and publish products instantly without moderation.
The process takes about 5 minutes. Open Store Manager → Verification, complete the 4-step wizard, and submit. The shookout team then reviews your application manually — no document uploads required.
Tip: Get verified early — even before your first sale. That way your payouts and Flash Sales are ready the moment you need them.
What verification unlocks
Payout withdrawals
Required to withdraw your earnings. You can accumulate a balance without verification, but cannot request a payout.
Flash Sales
Create time-limited discount events on your products. Only available to verified sellers.
Instant publishing
Products go live immediately — no waiting for moderation review.
Verified badge
A verified badge appears on your profile and all product listings, increasing buyer trust.
Seller types
At the first step of the wizard you choose your seller type. This determines which fields are shown in the next step.

What information you'll need
The wizard collects the following. Have it ready before you start.
Required for both types
- Full legal name — as it appears on your official ID
- Date of birth — you must be at least 18 years old to apply
- Contact email — used for communication about your application
- Country
- Full address — your residential address (Individual) or registered business address (Company)
- Store description — a brief description of what you sell and who your products are for
Additional for Company only
- Company name
- Company registration number
ℹ️ No document uploads are required. The shookout team reviews your submitted details manually and will reach out via your contact email if clarification is needed.
How to apply — step by step
- Open Store Manager → Verification and click Start Verification
- Step 1 — Identity: choose Individual or Company. A callout confirms what will be asked next
- Step 2 — Your Store: enter your full legal name, date of birth, and — if Company — your company name and registration number
- Step 3 — About You: enter your contact email, country, full address, and a short store description. All fields are required
- Step 4 — Confirm: review everything. Use the Edit buttons to go back and correct any field, then check the agreement box and click Submit Application
You can navigate back to any previous step at any time before submitting — nothing is locked in until you click Submit Application.
Review and statuses
After submitting, your application enters the manual review queue. The shookout team reviews every application individually.
- Typical review time: 1–3 business days
- You'll receive an email notification when a decision is made
- Your application status is visible in Store Manager → Verification at any time
Under review
Application submitted and being reviewed. No action needed from you.
Approved
Verification complete. Payouts, Flash Sales, instant publishing, and your verified badge are now active.
Declined
Application was not approved. The reason is shown in Store Manager. Correct and resubmit — no limit on attempts.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is verification required to sell on shookout?
You can publish products and receive sales without verification. However, to withdraw earnings, run Flash Sales, or benefit from instant publishing, verification is required.
Do I need to upload identity documents?
No. The wizard only asks you to fill in a form. The shookout team reviews your submitted information manually — no document uploads are needed.
What happens if my application is declined?
You'll see the reason in Store Manager → Verification. Correct the noted issues and resubmit. There is no limit on attempts.
Can I change my seller type after selecting it?
Yes — use the Back button or the Edit buttons on the review screen. Seller type can be changed freely before you click Submit Application.
Which email will I be contacted on?
The contact email you enter in Step 3 of the wizard. Make sure it's an address you actively monitor.
Does verified status expire?
Once approved, your verified status does not expire automatically. The team may request a re-review if your account details change significantly or if there is unusual account activity.
Is verification free?
Yes, the verification process is completely free. shookout does not charge any fee for identity verification.
