Finding a product

Browse products by category using the navigation bar, or use the search bar to find something specific. Each product card shows the title, seller, price, and rating at a glance.

On the product page you'll find:

• Preview images and screenshots
• Full description and what's included
• File format and technical details
• Version history and changelog
• Seller profile and their other products
• Buyer reviews and ratings

Purchase buttons explained

Depending on the product and your account state, you'll see one of the following buttons:

Using the cart

The cart lets you collect multiple products before checking out. Access it via the cart icon in the top navigation bar.

1. Browse products and click Add to Cart on each one you want
2. Open the cart from the navigation bar to review your items
3. Remove any products you changed your mind about
4. Click Checkout to proceed to payment

Payment methods

Checkout is processed securely via Stripe. The following payment methods are supported:

1. Review the order summary — product name, price, and any applicable taxes
2. Select your payment method
3. If you have Account Credit, it will be shown and applied automatically
4. Click Pay to complete the purchase
5. You'll see a confirmation screen and receive a receipt by email

Account Credit

Account Credit is a balance held in your shookout account. It is applied automatically at checkout to reduce the amount charged to your card or PayPal.

How you get Account Credit

• Gift card redemption — redeem a shookout gift card at /credit
• Direct credit addition — credit added to your account manually
• Store earnings — if you are a seller, earnings from your product sales are added to your Account Credit, from which you can then request a payout

Check your current Account Credit balance in the user menu — it appears as Account Credit below your profile name, or visit /credit.

Downloading your files

After a successful purchase, your files are available immediately. There are two ways to access them:

From the product page

Return to the product page — the Buy Now button is replaced by a Download button. Click it to download your files.

From My Purchases

1. Click your avatar in the top navigation bar to open the user menu
2. Click My Purchases — this opens shookout.com/purchases
3. Find the product and click Download
4. If the product has multiple files, a dialog appears — select the files you want

Updates

When a seller publishes an update to a product you own, the updated files become available in your My Purchases automatically. You are not charged again. Simply return to the product page or My Purchases and download the new version.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need an account to purchase?

Yes. Clicking Buy Now or Add to Cart while signed out opens the sign-in dialog. Create a free account first at shookout.com/register.

What's the difference between Buy Now and Add to Cart?

Buy Now takes you straight to checkout for a single product. Add to Cart saves the product so you can collect multiple items and pay in one transaction.

Is it safe to enter my card details?

Yes. Payment is handled entirely by Stripe — a PCI DSS Level 1 certified processor. Your card details are never stored on shookout servers.

Can I use Account Credit with a card payment?

Yes. If your Account Credit doesn't cover the full amount, the remainder is charged to your selected payment method.

Where do I find my files after purchasing?

In My Purchases at shookout.com/purchases, or directly on the product page where the button changes to Download.

Is there a download limit?

No. You can re-download any purchased product as many times as you need.

What if a product has multiple files?

A dialog appears when you click Download, listing all available files. Select the ones you want and download them individually or all at once.

What currency are prices in?

All prices on shookout are in USD. Your payment provider applies their conversion rate if your account uses a different currency.

Can I get a refund?

Digital products are generally non-refundable once downloaded. See the Refund Policy for full details and exceptions.

I purchased a product but can't find it. What should I do?

Go to My Purchases. If the product isn't there but your payment went through, contact support with your receipt and we'll resolve it.
